The PTA collects General Mills’ Box Tops for Education; this program gives our school money from the products you are already purchasing.  You don’t have to buy anything additional.  We just ask you to be careful and clip the Box Top before you throw away or recycle the package.  Last year WSES earned $1,242 that was used to fund PTA programs such as Math & Science Night, Reflections, and Cultural Arts programs.  Our goal for the 2008-09 school year is $2,000.  Several local schools earn over $3,000 each year by clipping their Box Tops.

March 1- May 31, 2009 is the special "Get On The Bus" box tops promotion. Click here for more details.

HOW IT WORKS:

1.   Clip and save the Box Tops logos from the participating General Mills products you already buy, such as Huggies diapers, Kleenex tissues, Cottonelle toilet paper, Pillsbury refrigerated breads and cookies, Hamburger Helper and of course General Mills cereals.  Generally, each Box Top is worth 10¢, but there are Bonus and Super Box Tops worth 30¢ and 50¢ each.  Ask your grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors to save their Box Tops for you.

2. Turn in your Box Tops in an envelope or a baggie with your name and the amount inside written on the front.  Deposit the baggie into the big Box Tops box in front of the cafeteria.  We count, organize and send them to General Mills.  When you neatly clip and count your box tops, it makes our job much simpler.  Thank you!

3. General Mills issues our school a check!  The more Box Tops logos, the more cash!  Up to $60,000 per year!  In 2007-2008 Willow Springs earned $1,241.80.  Our goal was $828.  For 2008-09, our goal is $2,000.  You can help us reach that one dime at a time!

4. For additional information about the Box Top program, visit http://www.btfe.com. This site is updated frequently and includes parent-friendly information.  Be sure to check out the  Promotions tab, contests to win free Box Tops appear monthly.  There’s no guarantee we’ll win these Box Tops, but the more people that enter, the better our chances.

5. Are you one of the 24 people to become a Box Top member this year?  General Mills has made it easy to earn 5 Box Tops, that’s $0.50 for Willow Springs, by becoming a member.  With over 1000 students we could get an easy $500 if every family took 5 minutes to join.  If you have an email address, Click here to become a member.
