Box Tops for Education

It’s a CHICK FLICK Raffle!

Now that I got your attention, rest assured it’s just a Tyson Chicken Project A+ Label contest being held over the next few months. How’s it going to work?

Allow me to share the details:

  • Purchase Tyson products with the Project A+ label
(see flip side to learn where to find these labels)
  • Save the label
  • When you collect at least 3 labels – send them to school in an envelope with your child’s first & last name/teacher/grade/track clearly written on it.  Tape it shut!
  • Drop in the collection bin next to the cafeteria and you are officially entered in the contest one time for each 3 labels you submit. If you collect 12 labels, that’s 4 entries in the contest! (you may use one envelope for multiple entries)
  • You will have until March 1st to get your entries submitted.

And the prizes are…

There will be TWO WINNERS of a Popcorn bucket filled with microwave popcorn, movie theater style candy and $5 gift card to Blockbuster.

Start clipping and get entered in this “CHICK FLICK” raffle which starts as soon as you get done reading this.

HOW IT WORKS:

1.   Clip and save the Box Tops logos from the participating General Mills products you already buy, such as Huggies diapers, Kleenex tissues, Cottonelle toilet paper, Pillsbury refrigerated breads and cookies, Hamburger Helper and of course General Mills cereals.  Generally, each Box Top is worth 10¢, but there are Bonus and Super Box Tops worth 30¢ and 50¢ each.  Ask your grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors to save their Box Tops for you.

2. Turn in your Box Tops in an envelope or a baggie with your name and the amount inside written on the front.  Deposit the baggie into the big Box Tops box in front of the cafeteria.  We count, organize and send them to General Mills.  When you neatly clip and count your box tops, it makes our job much simpler.  Thank you!

3. General Mills issues our school a check!  The more Box Tops logos, the more cash!  Up to $60,000 per year!

4. Are you one of the 24 people to become a Box Top member this year?  General Mills has made it easy to earn 5 Box Tops, that’s $0.50 for Willow Springs, by becoming a member.  With over 1000 students we could get an easy $500 if every family took 5 minutes to join.  If you have an email address, Click here to become a member.

The General Mills Box Tops and the Campbell’s Labels for Education programs bring additional resources to our school.  These programs don’t cost you a thing; they only require a little of your time and attention.

Box Tops:  We earn a check twice a year for doing the following simple things:

1. Becoming a Box Top Member:  Each new member earns the school 50 cents.  Log onto http://www.btfe.com and click on the top right Sign up now >> icon. It takes no more than 5 minutes to earn 50 cents for WSES, and anyone with a valid email address is eligible – that’s moms and dads, aunts and uncles, grandparents, neighbors, and teachers too.

2. Clipping Box Tops:  Cut the official Box Top logo off of participating

products.  Collect your Box Tops in a baggie or an envelope and turn them into the collection bin outside the cafeteria or spend them like cash at the School Store which is open MWF 8:45 – 9:10.  A complete list of products is posted outside the cafeteria and online at www.btfe.com.  Look for bonus Box Tops on products now and earn 30 cents instead of 10 on one package!

3. Utilizing Monthly Promotions:  Now until 9/4 a qualifying purchase at K-Mart earns you a bonus 100 Box Tops – that’s $10 for Willow Springs.  Food Lion MVP customers earn bonus Box Tops by buying the monthly special products.  This month it is $1 but in October its $10.  For more information about these offers, please see the Willow Springs website – http://willowsprings.wcpss.net

4.  Entering contests online:  Monthly promotions at btfe.com, as well as RockBackToSchool.com, among others give us a chance to win more Box Tops.

Additionally, you can use a Box Tops Credit Card and shop online through the Box Tops Marketplace.  Doing so only takes a couple extra clicks on your part, but earns the school a percentage of your total purchase.

** General Mills wants to give Willow Springs $60,000 this year, so let’s all do what we can to make it happen.  ** Last year we earned $1,242 without really trying. ** Our goal this year is just $2,000. **

Labels for Education:  We earn free products from their catalog.  This program is not as lucrative as Box Tops.  Participating products include all Campbell’s soups and Supper Bakes, Spaghettio’s, V-8, Prego, Pepperidge Farm goldfish, cookies, and breads.  Save the UPC portion of the label that contains the point value of the product, except for V8 Splash products, which require the lid.  Collect your UPCs in a baggie or an envelope and turn them into the Campbell’s bin outside the cafeteria.  Be even more helpful and separate your UPCs into 1 and 5 point bags!  For more information, visit www.labelsforeducation.com.
