My name is Amy Prairie. I began my teaching career at Willow Springs Elementary as a third grade teacher way back in 1994. I became the Instructional Resource Teacher (IRT) in 1999.  I am married with 2 daughters and 2 dogs. Hockey is a passion for my family. We go to as many games as possible – GO CANES.  I also like to read, go to the movies and travel to Maine with my family.  I feel so fortunate to work in the best school in Wake County!  

IRT is the abbreviation for Instructional Resource Teacher. One of the main responsibilities of an IRT is to make sure teachers have the materials and supplies they need to teach. He/she also ensures that the teachers know about the latest updates and changes in the curriculum.
